Filling in the days.

We are more than ready, waiting... and taking advantage of the free time we have. Shauna had a 90 minute pedicure, I had a 90 minute Shiatsu massage. My back always needs 'clicking', but some times it is a little stuborn, this was no problem once the masseuses stood on my back and bounced on me like a trampoline. One more sleep.

One more day until family of three.....

Okay....the days are getting harder, so we are desperately trying to fill them in until Sunday. We got amazing massages today, chilled out and bought about a thousand new release movies for one dollar a piece. We figure we cut our blockbuster bill totally out of the picture, and that these movies will give us an entire year of viewing pleasure.. Total bargain. A nice surprise. We also bought Zavier traditional Vietnamese clothing for the official giving and receiving ceremony on Monday morning. Too cute.

Just to clarify, that photo titled 'the one that got away', the male wearing the apricot sweater, is not me [Scott], I would never walk around without proper foot wear.

Who's the Big Boy?!?!

-------"The one that got away" -------
Well ladies and gentlemen, here he is!! Favourite toy in hand. He just needs his smile....the one we are dying to get out of him! Those big brown eyes and full lips and that full head of hair have stolen our hearts. Three days left to make him our own. In the meantime, we are staying busy checking out the markets and our surroundings. We'll come back to this area of Saigon for five days after getting him in Soc Trang, before we depart to Hanoi to finalize his visa. Our hotel is quaint and really clean. The rooms super air conditioned which is needed after walking around. We discovered the really big expensive hotel a few block up the road which we can pay a daily fee and use the gorgeous pool, gym and childrens play room for when we come back. We are saving so much money staying at this little place, so now we can eat out more and spend some money, like the 5 dollars I just spent on cool Ray-Ban sunglasses...(fagheszies), but I swear they look real........ So, we get the best of both worlds now. Great room, and nice hotel ammenities up the road for keeping Zavier entertained. We'll also leave you with some images of the markets...

WE are off to get an iced Vietnamese coffee.....definantely needed today, with this time change...

big hugs!

S and S

Exciting day

Madam Chau accompanied us to a nice dinner last night. We went to a Vitnamses restaurant with traditional Vietnamese music, with her daughter Deip, 7 month old grand daughter Cinthia, and 5 year old son Bim. We are being well taken care of.

Today we get to see a new photo of our son. The photo is from 3 weeks ago, apparently he is very strong, walking, and has lots of teeth.

sleepy time

We made it. We were told not too eat at the road side eateries, so we didn't. Apparently this type of dining isn't the 'real Vietnam'. The Mississipi Mud cake tasted good anyway.
Shauna wanted me to get the computer ready so she could do the blog, but by the time it booted up, she was asleep. My computer might as well be asleep too, the connection will not let me upload pictures...
Nighty night.

Hello Kitty Mania

Well, leaving was non eventful, (Thank God!) Monday night at the airport seems to be the best day to travel. It's like a ghost town. No problems, just big, comfy seats and nice service. We just arrived in Taiwan, Taipei, and Hello Kitty is everywhere. They even have a food brand that is Hello Kitty. I feel nine years old again. Our departure lounge to Saigon is Hello Kitty come to life, stage show... This is a great airport for kids, to say the least. We are off to get a green tea and some noodle soup, before our departure to Saigon.

We have plane tickets!!

Wow, I cannot believe we have plane tickets, and our travel Visa's are due back today. It's a miracle. We leave this Monday night, at midnight. Things are looking on schedule, with us officially receiving him on March 3rd. Auntie Beth and baby Sheyla are teaching us some good parenting tips, and Grandma too.

Zavier, your cousins want to play with you so hurry home.....

Sweet cousin Kevin....

Today, Zaviers older cousin Kevin gave him a slide, and a push bike, to start his outdoor playground collection. He also donated a blue monster truck for him to play with in Vietnam when we go get him. Everyone knows you have to have at least one monster truck on your person at all times for maximum enjoyment......

Suitcases are re-opened

Well, today I opened back up the suitcases, which I had packed back in November, because we thought we were traveling then.  How can a 22 pound baby, possibly need two 50 pound suitcases full of stuff?  22 pounds=100 pounds??? Hmmmmmm, I think I will downsize, and not bring 2 of everything??

Anxiously Nesting....

We are setting up house to bring the little man home to a fabulous swinging pad. We love the new neighbourhood. Lots of dogs for Charly girl to visit, and walking into town for coffee, food, and the park! Just need Scott home now, then Zavier, in that order.
